My research into bullying at all levels has allowed me to be fortunate enough to interview a group of straightforward senior citizens that weren’t afraid to speak candidly about the bullying that still takes place at the senior level.

For this particular news  article I interviewed a senior named Maurice C. and he talked about going overseas to fight for his country during the Korean war and also about raising five children only to run into a group of high school bullies that he had long since forgotten about.

Mr. C. as he likes to be called was playing bingo one evening when Jake “The Tormentor” abruptly walked over to his table right before saying hey your Suzy’s little brother aren’t you, and you’re the same pathetic freckle faced scrawny little kid that we caused to wet himself after he couldn’t get inside the house after we chased him home now aren’t you? The familiar voice both startled and angered Mr. C. however he sat silent while he patiently waited for Ralph and Joey and Joey’s younger brother Alexander to appear since they all used to run together back in high school, and once they crowed around him and started taunting him liked they used to, he stood up and told them that he wasn’t the same week little kid that he had once been and he also explained how many confirmed kills he had during the Korean war.

Maurice Sr. also asked Jake who was the ring leader of the senior bullies, and the one that had shoved him from behind before he stood up, how much action he himself had seen during the war? Jake turned pale as a ghost since he hadn’t served his country in any capacity since he was too chicken to join the Armed Forces. The bullies were forced to rethink their actions since they expected Mr. C. to take off running and to leave his wife and son sitting at the bingo table, and when he did the unexpected, the bullies retreated to the corner of the room before returning to apologize.

Bullies often know when they’re outmatched and aren’t afraid to exhibit self-preservation behaviors.

As part of my research into the seldom talked about phenomena of senior bullying, I also interviewed Mary W. who told me that she had to slap the face of a senior bully after the woman kept bumping her shopping cart. Elisabeth was the same girl that used to pull her hair at recess and in the classroom and in the restroom, and she was also the same sassy little girl that used to pour sand down her underpants and also down her blouse while her cowardly friends held her in place, so her merciless bully could denigrate her and so she could occasionally knee her below the belt as a form of entertainment since Mary would immediately collapse after the girls that were holding her arms and legs would release their grasp right after the knee to the private region was delivered out of spite.

Age alone hadn’t changed Elisabeth because she immediately started to call Mary the same kinds of names that she used to call her throughout junior high and throughout high school while following her around the grocery store prior to bumping her shopping cart with such frequency and force that Mary almost fell to the floor while asking Elisabeth to grow up and to leave her alone just moments before becoming fed up enough to strike her in the face since she wouldn’t stop.

For today’s article I also had the opportunity to interview a senior citizen named Pete G. who used to be bullied by an older neighborhood girl named Virginia who was famous for taking his money since she was fifty pounds heavier. The same awful neighborhood bully used to target Pete’s private region whenever he refused to do what she told him to do and whenever he was reluctant to give her his allowance. She would put her hand down Pete’s pants and wouldn’t stop hurting him until he agreed to enter his next door neighbor’s home and to steal the See’s candy that the sixty three year old woman kept inside her refrigerator. And she would also use the same cruel and unconscionable tactic whenever she wanted Pete’s allowance money to buy milk and cookies on the way home since her mother and father had put her on a diet.

Pete suffered greatly until one of the athletic females at his school befriended him and punched his bully out in the girls bathroom after she caught her putting her hand down Pete’s pants and hurting him. Pete had an opportunity to see his bully again once he retired and he saw Virginia at a restaurant and she was nearly four hundred and fifty pounds and still had the very same bullying personality that she had had as a child and actually threatened to beat Pete up right along with his wife of twenty five years if they didn’t stop looking at her.

Virginia was still angry that Becky had beaten her up in front of her friends after she caught her with her hand down Pete’s pants and she blamed him for shaming her in front of her three friends right before she walked out of the restaurant about fifteen minutes after threatening Pete and his wife. Pete and his wife Allison were terrified since they never expected to be threatened by one of Pete’s childhood bullies. The couple even contemplated leaving the restaurant since they were afraid that Virginia might come back, however, their attention was quickly diverted due to the enormous commotion that took place outside the restaurant and that caused everyone inside to stand up and to start looking outside the window. Virginia had been hit by a drunk driver as she was giving Pete and his wife the finger from outside the restaurant.

Pete described being stunned and feeling like he was in a dream right before he sprang into action and completely forgot about the things that were previously said to him while he performed lifesaving CPR on Virginia and if he hadn’t then she would have died on the scene.

Virginia is certainly lucky to be alive even though she’s confined to a wheelchair for the rest of her life since one doesn’t often run into someone that they used to bully and who just happened to be a retired paramedic that was able to forgive the person that used to torment him when he was only seven years old and that used to take great pleasure in targeting his private region until Becky bloodied her nose right before hitting her low, so she could see how it felt to have someone target her groin out of spite.

Bullying still exists amongst seniors which is why there’s definitely a need for a nationwide senior bullying initiative.
